Measuring the energy impact of every event

Palacongressi di Rimini wanted to provide event organisers with reliable data on the energy consumed during their events. This required a solution capable of monitoring the building’s energy performance in real time and distinguishing its baseline consumption from the energy use directly attributable to each event. The solution was BEM (Business Energy Monitoring) by Var Group, integrated with the IoT systems already installed throughout the venue. The platform collects, aggregates and displays energy data through intuitive dashboards and dedicated KPIs. This makes it possible to monitor consumption during each event and provide organisers with reliable, comparable data that can also be certified when required. These insights enable Palacongressi to support clients, event organisers and suppliers with their reporting needs, while identifying new opportunities to improve energy efficiency. Energy monitoring therefore becomes a practical tool for continuous improvement.
