Temakinho: sustainability and innovation with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

A new ERP to improve productivity and transparency in processes
Temakinho needed a new ERP system and new management software for its restaurants. This change was essential to improve operational efficiency and guarantee more fluid and integrated management of the various sales outlets, without interrupting day-to-day operational continuity. Leveraging its partnership with Var Group and its competence centre  for Microsoft Business Applications, the choice fell on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, an ERP dedicated to SMEs. This solution offers a huge array of functions to manage all the company’s accounting, financial and operational activities in an effective and integrated manner, thus contributing to increased productivity and transparency of corporate processes.
Guaranteeing operational continuity for sales outlets with Business Central
The project involved different phases: first and foremost, the Var Group team customised Business Central to the specific needs of Temakinho. Once the functional structure of the ERP had been delineated, work was performed in parallel to import the data from the previous management system, to integrate the new POS software and to create operating interfaces, both for sales and purchase orders for goods purchased from the points of sale. The POS software integration was one of the focal points of the ERP project, because it was necessary to guarantee importation of the invoices and payment slips issued by the restaurants via the new POS software (over 2000 monthly payment records and hundreds of invoices issued by the different tills) in order not to block the operations of the sales outlets and allow for correct financial management.
