In one year, five M&A operations in the region that are part of the multinational's internationalisation strategy

The new business combination with Awesome, specialising in digitalisation and cybersecurity, coincides with the opening of the new office in Andorra

 

Empoli, 22 May 2025 - Var Group, leading digital integrator for digital services and solutions, announces the establishment of Var Group Iberia, consolidating its presence in the Peninsula through a strategy of territorial expansion and structured growth.

The creation of Var Group Iberia coincides with the opening of an office in Andorra, thanks to the M&A operation carried out with Awesome, a company in Encamp (La Vella) specialising in digitalisation and cybersecurity with a workforce of 20 people and an expected annual turnover of 3.5 million euros. Through the operation, Var Group integrates its digital services in the fields of Cybersecurity, Blockchain, Data Science, Industry 4.0 and third-party solutions, positioning itself in the country as a ‘one-stop partner’ with specialised profiles in different verticals.

Var Group thus continues to expand its competencies and activities in the region (Andorra and Spain), reaching a size of around €30 million in revenues and 200 specialised professionals.

The acquisition of Awesome adds to the integration into Var Group Iberia of Boot Systems SL and LBS Serveis (September 2024), companies specialising in professional consultancy and solutions in Cloud Computing and Data Centres. In May 2025, the Digital Integrator further strengthened its centre of expertise dedicated to Data Engineering and Artificial Intelligence Data Science with the acquisition of Visualitcs Partner SL and announced the business combination with Spain's Delta Tecnologías de Información S.L. (‘Delta Informática’), active in Digital Identity, enriching its portfolio in blockchain and biometric technologies.

In Andorra, Var Group will focus on cybersecurity, digital identity and compliance projects in Public Administration with the Governor of Andorra through the OSCEPA (Office of Electronic Trust Services of the Principality of Andorra), the Siete Comuns, the Agència Andorrana de Intel-ligència de la Dada (AAID), the justice, health and energy systems, and will support more than 90 clients in the private sector.
